Job Description
This role involves performing all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks in a timely manner. Duties include high and low dusting, cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting, as well as maintaining restroom facilities and floor care. The position also requires the removal and transportation of trash and medical infectious waste, as well as moving furniture and other equipment. Cleaning responsibilities extend to various areas such as the emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks efficiently.Conduct high and low dusting, and clean walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting.Maintain restroom facilities and floor care.Remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste safely.Move furniture and other equipment as needed.Clean different areas including emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Capability to stand for 8 hours.Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English.Stable work history with a minimum of six months in a single position.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred six months of experience in cleaning or housekeeping.Experience in roles such as housekeeper, janitor, environmental services, caregiver, or custodian.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based at Kenosha Medical Center, Kenosha, WI, and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI. You will work with and around patients and hospital staff, frequently encountering medical infectious waste. The job requires pushing, pulling, and transporting heavy objects, as well as continuous physical activity like climbing stepladders, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive hand/arm motions. Occasional exposure to exposed patient body parts may occur.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
