We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Events Service Coordinator to join our team at Australia’s largest hotel.

Located adjacent to Darling Harbour in Sydney's Central Business District, Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveller. As Australia's largest premium hotel, Hyatt Regency Sydney boasts 878 guestrooms, 5 Food Beverage Outlets. The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for a driven and organised individual looking for a new challenge. As support in our Hotel’s largest team, you will coordinate administrative duties and assist the Director of Events Service and management team. This is a role where no two days are the same within a volume and constant environment. It is an ideal role for someone with Banquets/Events Service experience and is looking for their next career move in an administrative position.

Duties Responsibilities will include:

Assist the Director of Events Service with the planning, development and implementation of fortnightly rosters using Microster rostering and attendance system

Allocate adequate staffing to ensure the efficient completion of tasks and responsibilities on shift

Prepare relevant materials for events as directed (e.g. preparing menu labels)

Liaise with the Sales team, to ensure all floorplans, labels and DDRs are up to date and ready for the operations team

Liaise with the Culinary team and Assistant Managers – Events Service, to ensure all menu items meet and exceed client expectations

Attend internal meetings (e.g. BEO meetings) as required

Maintain the office area in a neat and tidy manner, ensuring stationery and supply levels are adequate

Undertake front of house service duties as required

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

Prior experience in the hotel or event industry

A passion for providing high quality experiences for guests and clients

Administrative experience advantageous

The skills to motivate a diverse, talented team

Strong attention to detail

Strong time management and organisational skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

A valid NSW RSA

Full Australian working rights

Availability to work on weekends as required
