Our team is stimulating and surprising our guests with personalized attention and revolutionary craft cocktails and locally sourced spirits, beers and non-alcoholic drinks. The Bar has a buzzing yet intimate atmosphere, with sumptuous sofas; and barrier free and interactive bar counter. Overlooking the prime real estate of Prinsengracht canal, the Bar is ideally situated not only for our hotel guests but also to welcome our local clientele.

Because we are looking for an Events Coordinator.

Your MINDSET:

A team player with a good portion of personality and a love for planning and selling;

Passionate planner and detailed oriented;

Enthusiastic and a hands-on mentality;

A true representative of the company to (potential) clients, the public and other external contacts;

A true support for our events’ clientele during the entire process;

A true communicator with colleagues and clients alike.

What does the ROLE entail?

§ To provide courteous and professional service to our internal customers in other departments

§ To develop Event Confirmations creation skills by preparing Event Confirmations for internal functions and menu tastings

§ Handling event enquiries and customer requests promptly, in a courteous, efficient and professional manner;

§ To provide administrative support for Executives and Managers, including but not limited to creating proposals and GDR’s after receiving a Envision activity and typing up menus, place cards and table plans

§ Conducting site inspections, when required.

§ Handle Event Confirmation and Change Log distribution

§ To fully utilize the correct photography and presentation materials when preparing all forms of client presentations

§ To take responsibility for your own learning and development

§ Complete your initial Personal Learning Plan and take advantage of the numerous learning and development opportunities that are available within Hyatt

§ To invest in your own appreciation of taste and style by extensive reading and exposure to trends with other luxury brands and services

§ To take responsibility for increasing your knowledge of all aspects of our food and beverage product and service

§ To attend (and prepare for) a daily briefing, Event Confirmation meetings and any other meetings as required

§ To follow all Hyatt Events Standards when assisting Executives and Managers to prepare proposals and contracts, providing administrative support and creating internal Event Confirmations

§ To fully and correctly use Envision

§ To maintain complete records of all Letters of Agreement and quotes for the hotel as per Hyatt’s Policies Procedures.

Your EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year experience working in Events or in a Coordinator role, preferably in a Hotel;

A degree in Hospitality / Tourism, ideally with a focus in Events, or equivalent experience;

Great language and communication skills in English and (ideally) in Dutch;

Unafraid of events related administrative tasks, projects and responsibilities;

A fun, loving and energizing person;

Committed to delivering a high level of customer service;

Outstanding organizational and administration skills;

Aware of proper telephone etiquette and are confident when on the phone;

Exceptional grooming standards;

Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
