**Let's talk about the role**
The **Events Manage** r will be responsible for supporting and executing the overall strategic direction for our events programme across both our ON and OFF mountain workstreams.
You will develop and lead, alongside and reporting to the Sr Manager, Sports Marketing, the overall vision and execution plan for events in order to support and drive the overall brand objectives. From grassroots, in-market level activations to broader-reaching brand moments and product launches, the Manager, Events is responsible for the entire process, from planning and briefing to on-event execution and delivery.
You will be tasked with working in close collaboration with multiple functions from Brand Marketing to Communications, PR, Social, Sales and Retail Marketing teams, depending on the event’s nature and its purpose.
**How you will make the difference**
You will contribute by working closely with your colleagues in the marketing team to produce best in class, industry-leading activations. On top of this you will:
+ Create and develop events strategy and execution plans with Sr Manager, Sports Marketing and global marketing peers to fulfill EMEA market needs, ensure global consistency and local relevancy.
+ Manage and execute own and sponsored events, inline with our brand DNA, to inspire and engage consumers across EMEA.
+ Lead and deliver local event toolboxes and support execution at retail and wholesale ensuring consistency and excellence.
+ Collaborate with Marketing / Agencies / Athletes / Product / Retail / Sales, both centrally and across the local markets, to deliver events that are fully integrated into the overall marketing mix and supportive of our brand / business goals.
+ Strengthen the brand’s relationships inside the sports industry identifying and building partnerships with other brands, teams and key opinion leaders.
+ Track event results and leverage insights to continuously improve sports marketing solutions.
+ Manage strategic relationships with event agencies, organizers and potential partners.
+ Manage Event budget to maximize ROI and achieve financial plans. Track and monitor budget on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with company approved numbers.
**What you need to succeed**
You already have a strong Event Marketing background, as well as a solid understanding of broader marketing knowledge and its application. A must-have is excellent organizational and communications skills and styles in order to align all departments and execute successfully. You will need:
+ In-depth knowledge and understanding of the European Sports and Outdoors Industry.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills
+ The ability to perform under pressure
+ Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
+ Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
+ Comfortable in self-starter environment.
+ Self-taught skillset
+ Proficient in admin systems including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint/Keynote. Knowledge of graphic and production platforms/software is a plus
+ Exercises strong interpersonal skills across internal and external partners.
+ Ability to work in an open environment with cross-functional partners.
+ Multiple spoken and written languages is a plus
