Job Description

The Events Coordinator role will be responsible for the planning and execution of tradeshows and webinars for Eurofins Discovery, with a focus on the European region.  This role is key for supporting the vision and strategic goals of the business at events.  Select job duties will include scheduling and hosting planning meetings with US and EU-based stakeholders, communicating with show organizers, assessing and selecting sponsorships, negotiating contracts, defining tradeshow deliverables and deadlines, and keeping tradeshows and events on budget and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the planning and execution of events from start to finishCommunicate with show organizers to determine sponsorships, costs, provide deliverables, and assess deadlines for the teamSchedule and host planning meetings with US and EU-based employeesCreation and maintenance of tradeshow playbooksReport out of tradeshow results, including activities performed, leads obtained, lessons learnedTrack expenses, ensuring events stay within budgetOversee the logistics of booth asset shipments to and from event venuesMaintain event asset inventory (booth, tabletop displays, marketing material, etc.)Creatively solve problems and overcome obstaclesAvailable to travel to events, if neededSupport of additional events may be requiredDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedOwns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timelinessProvides cross-functional support to other departments as requiredAdjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlinesAdheres to site environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent1-2 years of event planning experience in a corporate environment, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, strong problem solver, must love event planning, skilled in Microsoft office suite and project management toolsComfortable with contract negotiation
