Job Title Event Technician I Agency Texas A&M University Department Rudder Theatre Complex Proposed Minimum Salary $19.50 hourly Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description A Glimpse of the Job The Event Technician I provides event set-up and breakdown support, as well as general operation and maintenance of event related equipment. Essential Duties/Tasks: Event Support and Coordination + Operate equipment related to staging, lighting, audio, and/or video as needed for events within our facility and elsewhere on campus. + Execute event related needs as expressed by the customer or event manager. + Gain a thorough understanding of equipment owned by Rudder Theatre Complex and how best to utilize it in support of events in Rudder Theatre Complex as well as across campus. + Other duties as assigned Event Setup and Breakdown + Assist in the setup & breakdown of events across campus, to include venues in Rudder Theatre Complex & other buildings/areas of campus. Equipment Maintenance and Fabrication + Maintain inventory of event support equipment, when necessary, work with management staff on replacement equipment. + Work with fellow staff to ensure large item transportation carts are kept operational. + As needed, design & create transportation carts or boxes for large inventory items. Safety and Operational Practices + Explains and imparts proper safety and operational practices to team members. + Address safety concerns as they arise during events.
