Overview

As the voice of the Client, the Events Ambassador is responsible for elevating the level of service by providing a one call/one stop experience for our Clients. The purpose of the position is to provide convenient and efficient service that creates an experience that exceeds expectations. This position will elevate the level of service provided to our Clients and Guests by trouble-shooting for the Convention Services and Catering Managers while they are planning for future conferences. The Events Ambassador delivers exceptional service in accordance with the Hotel's Service Promises, and provides
additional assistance as requested in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities Remain visible to the Meeting Professional and their attendeesRemain accessible in person and via cellphone/radioContinuously monitor and walk meeting/public spaces prior to, during, and after eventsProactively search for areas of improvementTroubleshoot and resolve issues quicklyFacilitate last minute changes/issues with operational departmentsPerform other duties as requested by management Qualifications Experience in a hotel or a related field preferredComputer knowledge/skills preferredFlexible and long hours sometimes requiredMust be able to stand/walk the majority of shiftEvents AmbassadorLight to moderate work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects as requiredDemonstrate a warm, friendly, professional demeanor at all timesPossess and display strong communication skills; able to effectively listen to, understand, and respond to Guest/client questions or requestsBe flexible with their schedule when required by business demand and/or required meetings and trainingDemonstrate ability to take initiative, including anticipating Guest/Client or operational needsComply with all Hotel (Boston Park Plaza) and Corporate (Highgate Hotels) Standards and Regulations set forth, so as to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
