As an Event Services Assistant, you will provide support to the Services Team and Event Services Managers by managing daily administrative and clerical duties while also assisting in the daily operation of the office. You can expect to engage with first time Guests and repeat Guests who have a stay or event activation in any one of our Resorts, Convention Centers, Theme Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Water Parks, Disney Springs, and other event venues. Collaboration, organization, communication, and the ability to multi-task are keys to success with this high volume, fast paced Team. Partners include, but are not limited to, Youth Programs, Resort Sales, Sport Sales, Group Reservations, Sports Travel, Resort Operations, Park Event Operations, Sports Operations, Disney Event Group, PSAV, Group System Support, Transportation, and Security.
You will report to the Event Services Director.
What You Will Do:Handle basic Client requests and answer questions on behalf of the Event Services manager both pre-arrival and onsite with regards to food & beverage, admissions, function space, general resort or park information, event venues, etc.
Provide day to day support to Event Services Managers and Team
Timely and accurate completion of assigned activities / tasks
Facilitate phone coverage
Create Food & Beverage and Dinner Show agreements
Coordinate fulfillment and delivery of tickets and manage returns
Collect and process payments
Maintain TWDC standards of safety, professional and personal
Represent TWDC with the highest level of professionalism at all times
Other projects as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:Exceptional ability to respond and resolve inquiries in a high volume, fast paced environment
The organizational skills to work on many requests at the same time without missing the small details
Self-motivation to know when to take alternate action to enhance productivity and work independently
Excellent communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written
Problem solving skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills
Focus on delivering exceptional Guest Service
A passion for outstanding guest service and have at least 6 months’ work experience responding and recovering complicated guest escalation issues
Team focus to support your co-workers as needed, share best practices and maintain close partnerships with Cast Members from other lines of businesses
Knowledge of Group Markets, Food and Beverage, Resorts Rooms and/or hospitality industry
Availability to work a 5 day work week, Monday to Friday, with shifts predominately during standard office hours of 8am to 6pm, and some holidays
Computer proficiency within a Windows environment
Willingness to learn additional new and/or evolving software applications
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with Lightyear
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key internal partners to problem-solve for unique client needs
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Associate degree or higher is preferred
