Event Security Specialist

Global Workplace Safety (GWS) protects our people, brand, and property. GWS team members
are directly responsible for health & safety, physical security operations, and physical security
technology. All GWS verticals report to the Sr. Director, GWS in Pleasanton, California.
The Event Security Specialist is responsible for assisting the Manager, Event Security with all
aspects of physical security for Workday’s corporate events on behalf of the GWS team.

You will assist in overseeing the safety and security at corporate events through:

Assist with pre-event planning of vendors, event staffing deployments, emergency plans,
communication protocols, risk assessments, etc.Ability to attend pre-event inspections either on-site or video conferenceAssist, and in some cases lead, overseeing event security vendors (uniformed security,
law enforcement, K/9’s, Hotel Security, H&S Consultants, etc.) during eventsProvide a security briefing to event day staff regarding the eventAssist with ensuring the overall event is safe and secure per Workday event standardsReview and complete incident reports during eventsCompletion of post-event recapsAll other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

3+ years working in event safety and/or security at a multinational company in a role
supervising security for events BA/BS degree in business, management, criminal justice, or an equivalent combination
of education, military, law enforcement, safety or security experience.Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for events at least 50% of the
time (possibly up to 10 consecutive days)Must be customer service orientedMust have a valid passport

Other Qualifications

Ability to effectively partner with internal customers and work closely with corporate
event planners and third party vendors.Crowd flow management experience, ensuring guest safety during ingress and egress of
events.Multilingual is a bonus
