As **Event Planning Specialist** responsibletosmooth andefficientof the EventPlanningdepartment, covering both the catering sales as well as convention services function of the hotel. This position will typically berequiredto carry and achievea quotaand service groups. The ideal candidate will have Event Planning experience and have a keen eye fordetailing. AsanEvent Planning Specialist, you will be reporting directly to theDirector ofEvent Planningand below are some of the key responsibilities: + Oversees andassistswith all aspects of an event from pre-planning,determiningresource needs, pre-event marketing, and on-site coordination, to post event follow up + Coordinate with vendors,associatesand groups to ensure successful events + Manage eventlogistics, including venueselection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation + Develop event concepts and themes to separate us from our competitors. + Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and increase attendance/ bookings + Work with the event service and culinary team to ensure brand standards and improvementsin the long run + Ensure compliance with all legal and safety requirements related to events based on government requirements. + Track and evaluate the success of events and provide recommendations for improvements + Create detailed P&L sheets for each event (pre and post) tooptimizeproductivity and GOP + Assistsin site and vendor selection and negotiating the best possible rates and terms + Develops effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders + Supervises staff at events, assign duties, and provide general direction + Conductspost-event data and strategic analysis to inform future events. **Qualifications:** + 3years or more of progressive hotelEvent Planningexperience (typically with Hyatt). + Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds + Candidateshould be extremely detail oriented and organized. + Creativity and innovation in developing event concepts and themes + Producedthat support revenue goals of the hotel and outgrow the competition. + Ability to manage multipletaskand projects simultaneously. + Mustpossessthe following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proventrack recordin high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line. + Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Comfortable with sales and revenue systems/programs and must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel platforms. **Primary Location:** ID-Bali **Organization:** Grand Hyatt Bali **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Catering/Event Planning **Req ID:** BAL003030 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
