Facilities Management at the University of Virginia (UVA) is seeking an Event Management Solutions Analyst to join the Central Scheduling Support Service Team. This position will play a key role in university-wide analysis of event planning needs, training the university community on event planning guidelines and best practices, as well as providing application support to CollegeNET 25Live users. The Event Management Solutions Analyst will collaborate closely with the Event Systems Specialist. Additionally, they will serve as backup to the Senior Event Systems Administrator, as needed. This new position within the Central Scheduling Support Services team offers a significant opportunity to shape event planning at the University of Virginia and empower the community to host successful, safe, and impactful events.
UVA Facilities Management supports the University of Virginia’s wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. Responsibilities:
Collaborate in the development and maintenance of central office processes, procedures, and workflows.
Research and recommend best practices for event planning within a higher education environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit their event scheduling requirements and document them per UVA guidelines and practices.
Proactively monitor upcoming 25live enhancements and features
Assist the Senior Systems Administrator in the development and implementation of new features and enhancements
Provide first-line technical support to 25Live users, via phone, email, and chat to address inquiries, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly and effectively, escalating as needed.
Assist users with navigating the 25Live platform
Provide guidance on event planning policies, guidelines, and procedures
Develop content such as release notes and FAQs for keeping the central office web site content current
Ensure central office web site is current with changes in university policies and procedures.
Act as backup to 25Live System Administrator as needed.
Attend CollegeNET Series 25 training
Coordinate CollegeNET Series 25 training for 25Live users
Develop and deliver training materials and resources for event organizers using 25Live
Develop and deliver training on university-wide event planning policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Keep event scheduling training materials current with system updates and changes in university policies and procedures
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline
At least three years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Information Systems, Hospitality Management, preferred) or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in Business Analysis
Demonstrated experience in business analysis, technical support, and training, preferably in a higher education and/or event planning environment
Experience supporting end-users with event management or comparable systems
Experience developing and delivering training programs
Good understanding of event planning processes and best practices
Customer-centric approach
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience with change management
Experience working in higher education
Experience with 25Live event management
Experience with creating functional and technical documentation
Experience integrating space information with other enterprise information systems

Compensation:
The minimum starting salary is $80,000; actual starting salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Employees benefits package highlights include:
