Event Management Intern, Strategic Meetings & Events, Spring 2026
Job Summary:

About the Role & Program

Are you interested in planning events at the most magical place on Earth? The Event Management Intern is responsible for leading efforts in end-to-end project management, from planning through execution of numerous events and projects, annually, to support Promotional Marketing, Commercial Sales, Marketing Strategy, and affinity member events! You will strengthen Disney Parks & Resort's reputation, brand, and business, through collaboration and support in the development and delivery of outstanding events! These are high priority company initiatives that directly promote the property and/or the Walt Disney Company. This position plays a meaningful role in developing content strategies to achieve partner visions in a highly synergetic environment.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2026 - June 2026.

What You Will Do

In this role, the selected candidate will develop valued partnerships that you will use to recommend and influence decisions, based on budget, creativity, and technical, or logistical needs. You will be involved in a wide variety of planning activities including but not limited to the following:

Lead clients through the planning process to include research, creative development, budget management, production/execution and post-event evaluation

Steer all aspects of events from beginning to end with focus on creative and logistical detail

Lead teams on hospitality planning to include invitations, registration, reporting and travel logistics

Establish and use key relationships to ensure connectivity to the strategies and event content that support experience objectives

Provide thoughtful and collaborative data, insight, feedback, and recommendations that can be implemented to improve future events

Be a single point of contact to partners with different Lines of Business to handle partner requests and fulfillment

Develop event related product giveaways and items to strengthen core brand recognition

Lead projects from a client lens to include project management and services responsibilities

Maintain the management, storage and use of confidential information

Required Qualifications & Skills

Possess a high level of ownership, agility and attention to detail in all aspects of project management

Ability to understand an overarching vision, while guiding results by applying creative sensibilities

Holistic focus on the Guest experience with the ability to use innovation as the foundation for success

Aptness to build strategic relationships within and outside of the organization

Ability to craft and deliver presentations to direct leadership and external clients

Capacity to work with internal and external vendors towards financial goals, while understanding the impact of financial aspects

Proficiency in supporting strategic direction and activating agreed upon plans

Proficiency in basic computer functions vital to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies

Experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects within a matrixed organization with varying priorities and timelines

Ability to have a flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs

Possess a valid US driver’s license and must have your own personal vehicle to get to/from on-site events

Preferred Qualifications

Previous event management, event planning, event services, or catering operations experience

Previous work experience with Marketing Strategy, Promotions, or Sales

Knowledge of convention resort function space and theme park venues

Education

Junior or Senior year preferred

Major or previous coursework in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing/Sales, or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

At least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026- June 2026

Fully available to work full time (40 hours per week) including days, nights, weekends and holidays for the duration of the internship

Transportation: Must have your own personal vehicle to get to/from on-site events

Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, Florida is $22.50 per hour.
