As Event Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring the seamless planning and execution of key events, enabling teams to deliver on our mission to defeat serious chronic diseases, including diabetes and obesity.

 

Your new role

 

As Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events in coordination with event owners. You will ensure smooth logistics, effective vendor communication, on-site management, and post-event documentation while aligning with budgetary and compliance requirements. Through strong stakeholder engagement and a solutions-oriented mindset, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, sustainable, and memorable event experiences.

 

Day-to-day, your tasks will include:

 

Supporting event owners in the planning and coordination of corporate events, aligning with agreed timelines and execution plans. Coordinating logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, accommodation, and materials. Managing event budgets and tracking all expenses within allocated limits in accordance with applicable SOPs. Communicating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate delivery of all event-related elements. Supporting on-site execution when applicable, resolving any issues to ensure seamless experiences. Collecting and organizing pre- and post-event documentation to ensure compliance and effective knowledge transfer. Contributing to procurement by recommending vendors and collecting proposals in alignment with internal processes. Championing Novo Nordisk’s mission by incorporating sustainable practices and supporting business teams to achieve their goals.

 

Your new department

 

You will report to the Head of People and Organisation(P&O) in the P&O Department and will be providing essential support services across the Iraqi affiliate. The team works cross-functionally with commercial, medical, and external affairs departments, enabling smooth operations and strategic delivery. In this role, you will act as a key point of coordination for event-related planning and implementation.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

We’re looking for an Event Coordinator who thrives in a high-paced, collaborative environment. You bring:

Bachelor's Degree Relevant experience in event planning and coordination from the pharma industry, is preferred Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management capabilities Proven ability to manage administrative tasks and logistics Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with event planning tools
