Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-StarFull Serviceproperty is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs andoverseesImpressive mountainviews, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
**Hourly Rate:** $20 - $23
**Position Overview:** The Event Concierge is an ambassador to connect the hotel staff with event planners to ensure the success of onsite events.
**Job Functions & Responsibilities:** There are five primary roles of the Event Concierge:
+ **Hotel Ambassador:** Represents the Hyatt brand and makes a connection with the meeting planner to ensure that the hotel has a positive image.
+ **Liaison from the Onsite Meeting Planner to All Departments:** Stays in close contact with all hotel departments to ensure that all planner and hotel requests are met.
+ **Hotel Ground Support Representative:** The eyes and ears for all meetings and special events, communicating specifically with the Events Department to ensure the managers feel the operations is running smoothly. Checking all event space and comparing to event orders prior to planner arrival to make sure everything is ready exactly as desired.
+ **Solution Creator:** Communicating and addressing concerns and opportunities with planners and helping quickly find creative solutions.
+ **Information Central for Hotel and the City:** Responsible for sharing any information requested of the hotel and the City of Colorado Springs.
**Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of 1 year of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred.
+ Bachelor's degree and/or 2 years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience preferred.
+ Refined verbal and written communication skills.
+ Present a professional appearance and confidence.
+ Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours per day and lift 35 or more pounds as needed.
+ Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
+ Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations.
+ Ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
+ Understanding of food and beverage operations.
+ Excellent knowledge of Outlook.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Must have open availability 7 days a week.
+ Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
