**Primary Function**
As the Event Center Production Supervisor, you will help coordinate a multi-team response to find creative, inspiring and sustainable solutions to production demands, across event centers and production studios for our clients. You will oversee a team of Venue Technical Directors and Content Managers to ensure production spaces operate at the highest standard of reliability, consistency and creativity.
You will supervise complex events, working closely with Producers, Broadcast Engineers, Technicians, external vendors, and other specialists. In this role, you will serve as the main production point of contact for these client spaces and their capabilities.
From pre-production to post events, you will connect the dots across various teams to help deliver high quality events using cutting edge technology. You need to have deep production experience to help guide the event producer team, strong technical understanding to implement a robust and comprehensive technical plan in collaboration with engineers, and strong customer skills to bring clients events to life.
WORK LOCATION
Hybrid, in-office 3+ days per week
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Lead a team of Venue Technical Directors and Content Managers providing production support to multiple concurrent productions in the company's event spaces
Be an advocate of the venues, drive innovation, maintain an ongoing wish list and make recommendations to enhance capabilities. Suggest alternatives including replacement of systems and equipment.
Provide technical oversight for the venues, working closely with VTD and production teams to deliver outstanding events that align with client objectives
Collaborate with producers and clients to understand their event goals, target audience, and desired aesthetic
Proactively develop and implement innovative production solutions through close collaboration with event producers and broadcast engineers
Identify technical challenges during the pre-production phase and partner with the onsite teams to enact new procedures to streamline workflows and reduce risks during live executions
Act as liaison between senior management, onsite teams, internal & external clients & service providers to ensure successful delivery of all services
Work collaboratively with outside consultants and contractors to ensure that all work performed meets both the venue, company and industry standards and best practices
Organize site surveys, coordinate venue logistics, including Fire Marshall requirements, special effects, limitations, RF and other Governmental restrictions
Understand technical limits and capabilities of spaces to allow one source of decisions and guidance to clients
Analyze process and recommend avenues for improvement
Special projects and other duties as assigned
**Skills & Qualifications**
In-depth knowledge of legacy and state-of-the industry event production systems and equipment used in best-in-class event venues
Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and solving complex problems and an interest in developing new strategies
Demonstrated ability in working with external contractors and vendors to integrate systems from power to RF together in ever complex installations
Results orientation leadership, have a comprehensive understanding of the live program production processes and a strong sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution is critical
A positive and proactive attitude and a willingness to jump in and help
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to broadcast AV, enterprise AV and large scale event production
Knowledge of audio and video production tools such as cameras, mixers, switchers, LED walls and processors etc
Must be proficient in Google Workspace, have strong strategic writing and documentation skills.
The candidate must be a proactive leader and a team player. Have strong verbal communications skills, be well organized and capable of handling multiple assignments
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise large teams. Sensitivity and tact in dealing with staff/partners/clients at different levels in a culturally diverse environment
The candidate must have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in event production
**Education & Experience**
12+ years’ live event or project management experience for large scale event
Bachelor’s degree Video/Film Production, Communications, Marketing, or related field is preferred
5+ years’ direct supervisory experience
