Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Boston, MA Start Date: Approximately two weeks from offer Assignment Length: 13 weeks (to start) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Every other weekend required Pay + Local: $60/hour + Travel: $2,700 gross per week Position Overview Amergis Staffing is seeking an experienced Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Boston, MA. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to an inmate population in a secure correctional setting while maintaining professionalism, ethical standards, and patient advocacy. Key Responsibilities + Perform general nursing duties, including medication administration, triage, and risk assessments + Assist physicians with medical evaluations, treatments, and procedures + Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions + Apply surgical dressings and bandages as needed + Provide emergency first aid and respond to urgent medical situations + Check, monitor, and record vital signs + Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing + Observe and report changes in inmates’ physical, emotional, or mental condition + Provide patient education, health instruction, and discharge planning when applicable + Accurately and timely document all care provided using appropriate forms and systems + Promote a therapeutic environment, ensuring inmates are treated professionally, ethically, and with respect + Perform other position-related duties as assigned, based on facility needs Requirements + Active Registered Nurse (RN) license + Prior corrections nursing experience required + Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills + Ability to work effectively in a secure, fast-paced environment Interested?
