At Lear Corporation’s Technical Center in Valls—our key R&D and engineering hub in Europe—we’re looking for a proactive and driven Europe Advanced Wiring Buyer to join our E-Systems team. This role plays a critical part in supporting product development and margin improvement across European programs.
Mission
Improve E-Systems margin and support new business acquisition through strong supplier relationships, innovation, strategic sourcing, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Support cost reduction by analyzing BOMs and optimizing component sourcing
• Collaborate with Engineering, Commodity, and Program teams to align sourcing strategies
• Engage suppliers to introduce new technologies and support innovation
• Manage project milestones, prototype orders, and capacity tracking
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of purchasing activities
• Contribute to vertical integration and make-vs-buy decisions
• Track performance and support continuous improvement within the team
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• Experience in automotive or electronics purchasing
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of BOM structure and sourcing strategy
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel and work cross-functionally
