This is a terrific opportunity to join the Textron Corporate Legal Team as an Ethics and Compliance Specialist. The EC Specialist will report to Textron’s EC Manager and be responsible for working independently and with compliance personnel across the enterprise to execute Textron’s Ethics and Compliance program and ongoing processes. The selected candidate will have strong interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. The position location is Providence, Rhode Island.

Job Description and Role Responsibilities

Ethics HelpLine

Support the EC Manager in addressing incoming Textron HelpLine reports; coordinate as needed with subject matter experts to triage potential ethics and compliance violations.Serve as back-up to EC Manager to retrieve and review incoming HelpLine reports and employee inquiries.Conduct analysis to determine HelpLine statistical data and prepare summary reports.Utilize company-specific software to document and report on investigations and respond to inquiries from corporate and business teams.

Training and Communications

Utilize company software and coordinate / deploy annual employee training and certification campaigns; work with business unit contacts to ensure timely completion.Collect and prepare summary reports of Ethics Compliance live training provided throughout the Enterprise.Assist with creation and delivery of Ethics Compliance communications.

Data and Financial Analysis

Assist in the gathering and analysis / summarization of data and information for leadership reports and other EC meetings.Support corporate financial reviewer in connection with the vetting process of third parties in accordance with Textron’s Global Anti-Corruption Compliance Policy.

Record Keeping

Support tracking of EC annual action plan and deliverables, including calendar management.Assist in monitoring the EC inboxes.Track business unit deliverables to the corporate office, including reports, certifications, meeting minutes, and action plans.Manage / organize historical repository of EC records, including leadership presentations, matter summaries, investigation reports, employee trainings, supplier contracts, etc.Upload records and keep current the EC intranet site (“ERIC”).Track global EC policy and procedure updates utilizing a revision tracker.

Continuous improvement of program and processes

Understand basic attributes of effective global corporate compliance programs.Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing processes.

General EC Program Support

Support the Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) process and work to ensure timely completion of risk assessment deliverables.Support EC Team with other projects, as needed, such as risk assessments, ethics awards, ethics surveys, and third-party diligence reviews.Protect and maintain the privacy of employees including, but not limited to, personal information.Support the Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) process and work to ensure timely completion of risk assessment deliverables.Support EC Team with other projects, as needed, such as risk assessments, ethics awards, ethics surveys, and third-party diligence reviews.Protect and maintain the privacy of employees including, but not limited to, personal information.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degreeBackground and/or relevant work experience in ethics and compliance or a related field desired (may include finance, auditing, legal, etc.)Foreign language skills a plus

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in Providence, Rhode Island that allows for regular engagement with the Corporate Office team to foster collaboration, collegiality, and communication.
