Are you a passionate advocate for ethical practices in the pharmaceutical industry? Do you have a keen eye for compliance and a strong understanding of business ethics? Do you want to make a real difference in a company driven by purpose and innovation? Novo Nordisk Turkey is looking for a dedicated Ethics & Compliance Manager to join our team in Istanbul. You will work in our main office in İstanbul, as part of LECQ (Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality) Team and will report to the Senior Director for Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality. If you’re ready to shape ethical business conduct and embed compliance into daily operations, this role is for you.

The Position:
As the Ethics and Compliance Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring full business ethics compliance within the Turkish Affiliate. You will be responsible for developing processes and programs for effective monitoring, conducting internal controls, training local staff, and leading investigation cases in collaboration with various internal and external parties. You will lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our local ethics and compliance programme. You will be representing the affiliate in regional/global compliance networks and working groups and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring that all business practices comply with both global standards and local regulations, while supporting a strong ethical culture.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Serving as the primary Ethics & Compliance advisor to the Turkish affiliate, offering expert guidance on anti-bribery/anti-corruption, promotional compliance, third-party management, and data privacy, proactively driving compliance initiatives and integrating ethics into decision-making processes. Designing and executing continuous monitoring activities to ensure proactive issue identification and audit readiness, providing ethics guidance to affiliate employees on activities, policies, and transactions, ensuring adherence to all relevant ethical standards and managing third-party oversight by overseeing the local Third Party Representative (TPR/LDDR) process. Developing and delivering engaging, audience-specific compliance training and communication strategies, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure compliant planning and execution of activities, including interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), patient groups, and vendors. Overseeing relevant compliance hotline cases and managing internal investigations from intake to resolution, monitoring regulatory developments and industry codes to ensure proactive compliance and provide strategic recommendations. Driving and facilitating Compliance Committee meetings, ensuring timely risk updates, action tracking, and strategic alignment across functions.

Qualifications:

You are an experienced professional who combines a strategic mindset with strong operational execution and integrity. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in law is preferred; other fields (e.g., Business, Life Sciences) may be considered with significant healthcare compliance experience. You have 5–9 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management roles—preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or broader healthcare industry. Moreover, you have;

In-depth understanding of applicable laws, codes (e.g., EFPIA, AIFD), anti-corruption legislation (e.g., FCPA, UK Anti-bribery Act), and data privacy regulations. Proven ability to design and implement compliance programs, conduct risk assessments, manage compliance committees, and lead investigations. Hands-on experience with compliance monitoring frameworks and audit preparedness processes. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. Fluent in Turkish and English, both written and spoken. Strong integrity, risk awareness, and a detail-oriented mindset. Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, CIPP, CHC, SCCE) are considered a strong plus.

You will join a dynamic and fast-paced team based in İstanbul, where no days are the same. Our department is dedicated to ensuring that Novo Nordisk operates within the internal and external legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks.
