**Job Description**
The Ethics Office at BAE Systems is looking to hire a colleague in an Ethics & Business Conduct Specialist Principal role. This position will serve as a key member of the Ethics and Business Conduct function at the Platforms and Services Sector. This role will support the Ethics Office in its objective to promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law. The role will report to the Director - Ethics & Business Conduct.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
+ Develop and maintain an understanding of BAE Systems Values, Ethics Principles, Behaviors, and Culture.
+ Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable BAE Systems policies and other applicable standards (internal and external).
+ Continue to develop and execute our conflict-of-interest disclosure process including review and mitigation of disclosures from candidates and employees.
+ Assist in development and deployment of conflict-of-interest campaigns, training, and communications.
+ Provide guidance to employees seeking advice on policies (primarily our Code of Conduct, the Gift and Hospitality policy, the Conflict-of-Interest policy).
+ Lead or support the analysis of meaningful metrics to identify trends, risk areas, and priorities.
+ Assist with management of Conflict-of-Interest tool and case management tool.
+ As needed, assist with, facilitate, and monitor corporate investigations.
+ Work with local Ethics Officers providing training and guidance.
+ Partner with appropriate departments, to include Legal and HR.
+ Work with the team to guide the development of Ethics communications, training, and targeted awareness campaigns.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s Degree and 6 years relevant experience in corporate ethics and compliance or equivalent is required
+ Experience in Business Ethics
+ Experience in Conflicts of Interest, including evaluating and developing plans to mitigate risks
+ Experience in conducting complex Investigations
+ Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, with limited supervision
+ Outstanding "people skills" with the ability to work with employees in emotionally charged situations
+ Superior listening skills and a high degree of discretion and tact; ability to be viewed as a highly trusted resource among the employee population; and can conduct informal counseling and coaching
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are effective with the appropriate tact and diplomacy for all levels of the organization
+ Excellent conflict resolution and negotiations skills, as well as ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles
+ Must have the ability to work independently and manage several matters simultaneously and have an attention for detail
+ Must have solid presentation and training and/or teaching skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP or CCEP-I) or Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC)
+ Experience working in government or defense contracting environments
+ Experience with database management and administration
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
