Summary:


This role is focused on advancing Northern Trust’s North American ETF client solutions consulting capability. Acting as the primary liaison between ETF issuers and internal teams—including technology, operations, and product development—you will lead the implementation of innovative servicing solutions tailored to client needs.

Key responsibilities include shaping Northern Trust’s strategic direction in ETF servicing and driving innovation across complex, high-impact projects. You’ll play a critical role in coordinating system setups and testing, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This position also offers the opportunity to deliver tailored, consultative support to clients entering or expanding in the ETF market—helping them navigate unique challenges and unlock new growth opportunities through customized servicing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a subject matter expert to shape Northern Trust’s strategic vision for ETF servicing and drive innovation in the space.

Evaluate current and proposed systems and processes to define technical business requirements and guide implementation with IT and operations.

Manage multiple complex projects from initiation through completion.

Structure and lead client meetings, including agenda preparation and documentation of key takeaways.

Coordinate ETF system setup and testing, ensuring all internal teams complete their responsibilities accurately and on time.

Oversee internal and external IT setup within the framework of internal controls.

Identify and communicate bespoke client requests, including reporting and custom technology builds.

Ensure compliance with SSAE 16 standards through documentation and execution of internal controls.

Provide consultative support to clients and prospects exploring ETF market entry or expansion.

Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and internal business impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Extensive experience in ETF operations, with a strong focus on technology integration, connectivity, ETF launch preparation, and client implementation.

Deep product and operational knowledge of ETFs, including the full order lifecycle and stakeholder interactions.

Strong process orientation with the ability to leverage technology and operations to scale ETF servicing capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly adaptable and comfortable with change.

Strong technical and systems knowledge.

Proven experience in managing large-scale change initiatives.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships.

Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency through metrics and performance management.

Proven project management experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
