Desired Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: - New York State School Social Worker certification. - Experience in working with students with disabilities. - Meeting or exceeding standards as determined by the Professional Performance Review Process. Desire Qualifications: - Certified in CPI and/or TCI. - Experience in counseling students and knowledge of the CASEL competencies. - Experience in working with students with autism and challenging behaviors. Position Summary/Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with staff and administration to meet the social emotional and behavioral needs of students. - Provide mandated individual and/or group counseling. - Serve as a representative on the Committee on Special Education (CSE) as needed. - Implement and progress monitor student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. - Support students in crisis. - Serve as a liaison and assist families with accessing district and community supports/services. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - This extended school year position will be available pending student enrollment. - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE ENTIRE SUMMER SESSION (July 6 through August 14, 2026). SET UP DAY: 6/29/26 (Attendance Required) 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (Paid for up to 6 Hours at the Professional rate ($35) per the GTA contract.) RATE OF PAY BASED UPON: 1.0 Position: (32.5 hours per week) 1/200th daily rate of GTA Contractual Annual Salary.
