Estimator - Landscape Construction
**Description** **The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.** **Job Summary** + The Estimator reviews plans and prepares bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Prepare organized estimates and proposals for landscape, civil, and site construction projects using all necessary project documents including, but not limited to, architectural plans, specifications, RFI’s and bulletins/addenda as well as attend site visits. + Perform takeoffs from plans and specifications for hardscape, planting, soils, irrigation, and site furnishings + Structure estimate accounting for labor required, material defined or undefined by project, schedule and logistics. + Collaborate with colleagues to establish appropriate production rates and define the most competitive source of material or subcontracted work. + Identify any discrepancies or ambiguity within the plan documents and submit RFI’s to resolve. + Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope and labor compliance. + Engage in project reviews with the Preconstruction Manager to finalize proposals. + Identify constructability challenges, phasing efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities. + Develop clear scope letters with qualifications, exclusions, and value engineering notes. + Become the subject matter expert on projects and be able to respond to client needs in collaboration with the Business Developer. + Work on multiple projects simultaneously and revise projects as new information is received. + Research new materials, systems, and methods suited for urban infrastructure, waterfronts, and green roofs. + Build lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. + Upon award of projects, prepare documentation to present to the project management teams internally. **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience + Prior experience in the landscaping industry, with estimating and managing landscape and irrigation projects + Experience with HCSS + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Effective oral and written communication skills + Customer service experience + Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off + Strong work ethic with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced environment + Bilingual (Spanish) a plus **Physical Demands/Requirements:** + Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers + Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of time **Work Environment:** + This role works in an indoor office work environment. **_BrightView Landscapes, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer._** **_This job description is subject to change at any time._** **Compensation Pay Range:** $80,000.00 to $115,000.00 **_BrightView offers a suite or health, wellness, and financial benefits to full-time team members.
