Job Description One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for Estimators to support ongoing construction operations out of their Orlando, FL office. The individual is responsible for preparing time, cost, and labor estimates for assigned projects, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, and/or processes. They are also expected to follow-up and negotiate with client to close the deal. For awarded contracts, they will provide on-going cost estimate support to operations as projects are handed off and under way. Specifically, this individual will be utilizing estimating software to help price out bids, assess risk, help select vendors for materials/equipment, and help create winning proposals. They will be working closely with Project Managers and operations to ensure that the profitability goals are met based on project conditions and possible challenges. This individual will be based out of the Orlando office but must be comfortable with occasional travel to job sites around the region and state. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Accounting or other business related field. - 3+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry - Proven skills in estimating software such as Timberline, UScost, WinEst. - Must be able to factor in safety and OSHA requirements into estimates - Computer savvy; strong in MS Office Suite - Ability to read, analyze, and interprets business documents such as RFIs, proposals, contracts and field reports - Knowledge of mathematical fundamentals like fractions, ratios, and percentages - Strong communication skills; will be interfacing with project managers, vendors and operations - Clean background; willingness to travel to project sites. - Professional estimating certifications such as CPE (Certified Professional Estimator), CCP (Certified Cost Professional), AEP (Associate Estimator Professional), PCSE (Professional Certificate in Construction Estimating), Procore Estimating Certification (PEC) - Previous experience in concrete industry
