Job Description
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing technical documents, verifying inventory, obtaining and producing quotes, and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors. You will utilize your expert knowledge of manufacturing or machining processes to support engineering and production data analysis.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze drawings, routers, parts lists, and other technical documents.Verify existing inventory and current quotes using computer systems.Obtain quotes from customers and vendors.Analyze engineering and production data.Prioritize RFQs effectively.Maintain a strong working relationship with customers and vendors.Use CATIA or other industry-standard modeling software for drafting purposes.Act as a purchasing agent on behalf of the supply chain, if required.Maintain records of previous quotes and win/loss records.Work with the Contract Specialist to ensure accuracy and validity of contracts and purchase orders against quote information.Authority to stop any production order for quality concerns.Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in manufacturing estimation.5+ years of experience in customer relationship management.5+ years of experience in producing quotes and logistics for completing orders.Expert knowledge of manufacturing or machining processes.Proficiency in CATIA and Mastercam software.Ability to analyze engineering and production data.Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities.Basic knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in aviation manufacturing is ideal but general manufacturing experience is acceptable.Must be available to travel as required.Work Environment
This role involves working in both an office and shop environment. You will work on the phone and computer with clients and also visit the shop and engineering areas to ensure product and quotes align with company profit lines. It is important to maintain an organized and clean work area and set an example by wearing eye and hearing protection when necessary. The company has a stable presence in the aviation and aerospace industry and offers a C2H or DP opportunity, depending on the candidate's qualifications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
