Responsibilities + Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. + Provide technical guidance and/or supervision to architects, structural engineers, and independent contractors. + Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements. + Understand procurement rules and regulations. + Perform other duties as assigned. + Assess contract compliance and product/service quality. + Make complex operating, administrative, and procedural decisions. + Apply budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures. + Communicate effectively as part of a team; understand sales and negotiation techniques. + Organize resources and establish priorities. + Develop and present building estimates and feasibility studies. + Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. + Maintain technical knowledge of building components and their functions. Essential Skills + Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating for a grading and/or utility company. + Proficiency in Agtek, HCSS, and Bluebeam. + Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Civil Estimating experience. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and involves collaboration with construction teams to deliver high-quality results. The position requires proficiency in using estimating software such as Agtek, HCSS, and Bluebeam. You will be expected to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
