Estimating Planner
Estimating Planner Reports To: Manager, Estimating Job Summary The Estimating Planner is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and planning the implementation of applicable codes, standards, and client specifications across all estimating activities. This role ensures that compliance requirements are accurately identified, optimized for competitiveness, and clearly incorporated into project estimates in a timely manner. The position also supports alignment between estimating, engineering, suppliers, and clients to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: + Review all Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to identify applicable client specifications, codes, and industry standards. + Ensure all project estimates fully comply with the Quality Systems Manual and applicable regulatory requirements. + Evaluate compliance requirements for relevance, optimization, and competitive advantage. + Develop and present the cost and schedule impacts associated with project compliance in the event of award. + Identify and document sub-tier supplier requirements for inclusion in quotations. + Advise on manufacturing capacities to improve estimating accuracy and project delivery timelines. + Support client communications and negotiations during the quotation phase, particularly related to specification and compliance matters. + Assist in defining compliance standards for client-unspecified equipment used in standard GasTech products. + Obtain vendor pricing for major equipment, components, and subcontracted services. + Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors in the oil and gas process equipment market. + Maintain up-to-date vendor pricing and cost databases. + Participate in project kick-off and manufacturing kick-off meetings, providing estimating and compliance input. + Serve as the primary point of contact for specification compliance clarification and arbitration during project execution. + Collaborate with Product Engineering post-award to incorporate non-standard or atypical client requirements. + Prepare, maintain, and archive estimating documentation and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system. + Transfer awarded project cost estimates from the estimating software into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. + Communicate effectively and professionally with internal stakeholders across all departments. Qualifications and Experience + Experience with modular skidded units for gas processing plants is required. + Working knowledge of ACCE and/or Cleopatra estimating software preferred. + Strong understanding of oil and gas industry standards, codes, and compliance requirements. Work Environment + Moderate interaction with both suppliers and customers is required. + Occasional travel may be necessary.
