ESPN Content Operation Intern, Bristol, Spring 2026
Job Summary:

About the Role & Program  

The Content Operations team works tirelessly so viewers don’t have to wonder about the “how”. We want the sole focus of the fans at home to be on the score, the play, the win. An internship in Content Operations means a look behind the scenes at how your team gets on the air.

Behind each great game is an array of technical, organizational, and business-minded teams that each have an integral part in creating a successful and seamless broadcast. The Teams’ contributions to each broadcast range between collaboration with production, managing in-house control rooms, securing crew, mobile units, transmission resources, and more.

This is a 16-week internship based in Bristol, CT from January 12th through May 1, 2026.

What You Will Do

Ongoing contribution to technical planning and execution for key spring events

Observe various technical and business-related duties in Content Operations

Learn, shadow and drive an array of technical positions

Operate and understand assorted studio and control room equipment

Attend various technical and/or managerial meetings

Participate in professional skill development programs

Required Qualifications & Skills

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Exceptional communication skills, both written and interpersonal

Highly organized with high attention to detail

Flexible working schedule (some nights and weekends on occasion)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Smartsheet

Experience in a control room or production environment a plus

Education

Junior or Senior year preferred

Major or previous coursework in Communications, Sports Media, Business or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization 

Additional Information

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week. Some nights and weekends required on occasion

Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Bristol, CT area

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Connecticut is $22.50 per hour.
