Position Purpose
Responsible to ensure the Price Competitiveness of the products through database extractions and analysis of competitive data; Analyzes market behavior and has a feedback meeting with CM's to suggest retail tests based on market opportunities; perform price optimizations through scenario modeling by price zone based on pricing elasticities, strategies, category roles, and pricing rules such as minimum margin, competitive index, GBB pricing gaps, and product families; Responsable for additional projects of the area; Manages and develop the Analyst Senior & Trainee members of the area, coaching him to understand the several data source we have, KPIs of the area, Price Philosophy of the categories, softwares needed and company strategy.
Primary Accountabilities
+ Database extractions from several data sources to perform analysis
+ Analyze product performance and competitive information to identify pricing opportunities
+ Define the pricing philosophy for each category with aid from the CM's in order to achieve the goals of the company
+ Pricing Optimization according to established targets, competitors information and category behaviour
+ Project management: In the team we have many new projects every year and management today is only carried out by the manager, causing the follow-up of each one not always to be adequate. That is why we find ourselves in the need to have this new level that can also manage projects such as the following:
Implement the new price optimization system based on Self-Learning and using the price rules defined for each category. This position is expected to be in charge of creating the entire data structure and ensuring that all business rules are taken into account for the proper functioning of the tool, for which very extensive data extractions of several years are required and generate indicators of various areas to be taken into account by this Machine Learning, in addition, it will be having weekly meetings with the supplier to review progress and commitments. This with the intention of having a tool that supports the high demand we have in the pricing area and that all relevant variables are taken into account such as Price Elasticity, Category Strategy, Category Roles and price rules such as Minimum Margin. , Competitor Price Index, GBB pricing GAPs and SKU relationships. This initiative has an expected benefit of +$323 million incremental MXP per year.
Build a specific price philosophy for each type of exclusive MHUB product to achieve the established goal of improving sales closing and profitability. This resource should be exploring the different market offers for these products and defining an action plan against each competitor. The main tool to use is WebScrapping to obtain market prices and SQL database extractions to carry out the reporting. of the CPI, Lookups and CR% indicators before the MLT and the MHUB committee made up of key areas of the company. In this objective, it is expected to bring the indicator of CR% of these products from 3.6% to 6.0%.
Education & Experience
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: BS in Computer Science, BS in IT Management, BA in Actuarial Science, BS in Economics, BS in Statistics
Years of Experience: Five to seven years.
Type of Experience: Pricing experience, Excel advanced, Pivot Tables, SQL data extractions, English, Information Analysis
Special Certifications or Technical Skills:
Other/Preferred: Retail industry experience is required, able to understand requirements, efficient communication, activity followup (self-organized)
