**We are searching for the best talent for Public Account Lead to be in Mexico City.**
**Job Purpose:**
The Public Account Lead – (Government Sector) is responsible for executing and following up on the administrative management of contracts with public health institutions (e.g., IMSS, ISSSTE, INSABI, SEDENA, BIRMEX). This role serves as a legal representative in public bids and contract formalizations, ensuring proper documentation and legal compliance, increasing Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s institutional visibility, and acting as the main point of contact for administrative stakeholders.
The position requires spending the majority of time physically present at public hospitals and institutions, building strong relationships with administrative areas, and supporting key operational processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Contract Management and Legal Representation
Serve as the legal signatory for public bids, direct awards, contracts, amendments, official letters, supply orders, penalties, and invoice submissions.
Coordinate the submission of bonds, clarification letters, and required legal or administrative documents to public entities.
+ Stakeholder Mapping and Institutional Relationships
Build and maintain an up-to-date directory of key administrative and procurement stakeholders across public institutions.
Develop and share stakeholder mapping with the commercial team to support supply continuity, inclusion processes, and institutional contracts (e.g., BIRMEX, ISSSTE).
Represent J&J MedTech with institutional stakeholders at the administrative level to ensure visibility and alignment.
Regularly visit local and regional hospitals and government offices to build and maintain strong working relationships with decision-makers.
+ Operational and Logistical Support
Coordinate and attend contract signing meetings (physical or electronic), document delivery, and other administrative procedures at public institutions.
Validate and deliver physical documentation to institutions to ensure proper contract formalization, in coordination with the tenders team.
Ensure timely receipt of official notifications (OTS), penalties, or administrative correspondence.
Provide key administrative information to the collections team (e.g., contract status, pending signatures, supply orders, etc.) to support invoicing and payment tracking; however, this role does not lead the collections process.
+ Ad-hoc and Cross-Functional Support
Manage ad-hoc activities resulting from changes in institutional processes or urgent public sector needs.
Support the commercial and tenders team with critical institutional information to ensure successful public sector engagement.
**Required Qualifications:**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Law, International Relations, Political Science, Business, or related fields.
**Experience:**
+ At least 3 years of experience in administrative or commercial roles within the public health sector (e.g., IMSS, ISSSTE, SEDENA).
+ Proven experience in institutional sales, public tenders, and contract management.
+ Previous experience as a legal representative in bidding or contracting processes is highly desirable.
**Technical Knowledge:**
+ Strong knowledge of public procurement processes (LAASSP, LOPSRM, Compranet, BIRMEX).
+ Expertise in managing legal and administrative documentation, bonds, signatures, and contract terms.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Experience with digital institutional platforms and document tracking systems.
+ Intermediate English required; advanced English preferred.
