ESG Product Owner
**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 10 **The Team:** We seek a product manager to support the Climate product suite in the Sustainable1 product team in the S&P Global Energy organization, which focuses on delivering sustainability research, data, and analytics. The role will involve interaction with Sustainable1 cross-functional teams, SPGI divisional sustainability teams and clients/professionals within the sustainability space **Responsibilities & Impact:** + As an Associate Product Manager within the Climate & Nature product team, you will support the development and productization of Climate or Nature analytics and models. + You will capture and prioritize requirements that contribute to the product vision, platform roadmap, and go-to-market strategy, and translate these requirements into features, user stories, product requirement documents and other product collaterals for internal and external use. + You will work with other product managers and project managers to develop or enhance products and ensure timely product delivery. + You will work with technology, research, and data teams to ensure the highest quality products are built in line with client expectations; maintain and address product quality to support best-in-class product performance and reliance. This includes testing existing platforms and enhancements to ensure all released solutions meet our quality standards. + You will contribute to go to market activities as well as the development and maintenance of client-facing collaterals. + You will interact with commercial teams to capture client feedback and share product updates. + You will conduct market research and analysis to better understand the climate and nature markets and how our products can best meet market needs. **The Impact:** As product manager, you will be responsible for working with the product, research and development teams to build out climate products and features and enhance existing climate products. **What you stand to Gain:** You will be part of a highly visible team that has a direct impact on the execution of our product roadmap and vision, helping to deliver products focused on either Climate or Nature analytics or both. You will be integrally involved with projects to integrate existing and new capabilities with the broader set of S&P Global’s assets, collaborate across the divisions to maximize our positioning in the market and provide world-class client service to our customers. **What We’re Looking For:** + Bachelor’s Degree + 2+ years of Product Management or similar experience. + Experience working within the Agile product development framework and experience working with technical teams such as engineering, data science and data management. + Demonstrated ability to work independently with a track record of delivering results on tight deadlines. + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust among a diverse set of stakeholders. + Track record of collaborating across global teams and with multiple functional roles, including technology, data, commercial, and management. + Strong problem-solving skills. We value a candidate’s proven ability to dissect problems and proactively come up with innovative solutions. + An understanding of the different delivery channels for SPGI products is preferred. + Experience in the sustainability market or has demonstrated curiosity in SPGI’s sustainability products and solutions. + Experience or interest in using GenAI tools to improve a product or optimize workflows is highly valued. + Working knowledge of or experience with technical tools such as PowerBI or languages including but not limited to SQL, Python, R is a plus but not essential. **About S&P Global Energy** At S&P Global Energy, our comprehensive view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make superior decisions and create long-term, sustainable value.
