We’re currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Escalator team at the Keighley factory. We’re seeking someone with strong mechanical engineering skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid commitment to safety and quality standards.
This job is a site based with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in escalator gearbox refurbishmentsDiagnose faults and perform repairs on gearboxes, including disassembly, inspection, reconditioning, and reassemblyPerform routine greasing and lubrication of gearbox components to ensure optimal performance and longevityWork with technical documentation, schematics, and manufacturer specificationsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and KONE proceduresMaintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spentCollaborate with other engineers and site teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient service deliveryRequirements:
Apprentice trained Mechanical engineer or NVQ3 Mechanical QualificationStrong knowledge of gearbox mechanics, lubrication systems, and drive componentsExcellent knowledge of health and safety practicesGood written and spoken EnglishNVQ3 in Escalators is a plus but not mandatoryWe offer a range of fantastic benefits to our Engineers including:
