ER Charge Nurse
**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As a **Emergency Room Charge Nurse** you will be a central figure in patient care, seamlessly navigating the healthcare journey to achieve optimal outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. Every day, you will strategically assess, plan, and facilitate comprehensive care across the continuum, expertly advocating for patients while collaborating with physicians, nursing, departments, insurers, and post-acute providers to ensure timely, high-quality transitions. In addition to the RN duties, responsibilities include facilitating day-to-day operations of the Unit. Collaborates with staff, Nurse Managers, team leaders, supervisors, and physicians to ensure quality patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical acumen, exceptional communication and advocacy skills, and a strategic mindset, all driven by a passion for optimizing patient care across every touchpoint. ● Functions as a clinical and leadership mentor and coach to new and existing staff ● Assists with preparation and oversight of unit schedules. ● Works with department management to balance schedules ● Oversees and adapts the daily staffing plan to meet the department’s needs ● Establishes patient assignments for a team of employees. ● Participates in the peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff. ● Provides input and feeback to the nurse manager/department leadership in regards to team performance _We are offering a_ **_sign on bonus up to $25,000_** _to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder program as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance._ **Job Requirements** Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
