Job Description

The RMB Global Markets Corporate Equity Derivatives team is responsible for originating, pricing, and selling both vanilla and structured equity derivative products to corporate clients. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in equity derivatives sales and structuring. This role involves designing bespoke equity derivative solutions tailored to clients' unique needs for risk mitigation and monetization of South African listed equities. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the JSE equities market, derivatives, strong client relationships, and a passion for originating complex, large deals.

Are you someone who can:

Lead the origination of Corporate Equity Derivatives Solutions for RMB Global Markets.Responsible for the sales and structuring of vanilla and exotic equity derivative transactions for South African corporate clients, family offices, and UHNW investors.Specialize in structuring and designing bespoke equity derivative solutions that cater to unique client needs for risk mitigation and monetization of listed equities.Collaborate with ECM, IBD, Corporate Client Coverage, and Equity Sales to pitch, structure, and execute customized equity derivative solutions for corporate clients.Work closely with internal teams to design and implement customized derivative solutions.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate, family office, and UHNW segments to grow the Equity Derivatives business.Collaborate with GM Structured Solutions, Structuring, and BRM desks on packaging client solutions and deal execution.Work closely with Equity Sales, Trading, and Research teams to generate ideas and deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.Monitor equity market trends and corporate actions to identify opportunities for new revenue and product development.Ensure that derivatives business strategies, plans, and initiatives comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.Able to price and structure complex derivative products in line with client requirementsWork closely with internal teams such as trading, risk, structuring, tax, and legal for deal approvals and ensuring transaction executions adhere to risk and regulatory frameworks.Ensure smooth trade execution processes, including managing delta instructions, accurate booking of risk, trade recaps, and post-trade inquiries.Oversee the documentation of derivative transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Ensure all desk activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

Postgraduate degree in Finance, Risk, Accounting, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or equivalent.Professional certifications such as CA(SA), CFA, CQF, FRM, or equivalent.10 years of experience in corporate equities structuring and derivatives sales.Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and executing complex transactions.Self-starter, collaborator, and passionate about identifying and closing equity deals.Strong knowledge of vanilla and exotic equity derivative products and the equity market.Solid experience in structured equity derivative transactions, financing, risk hedging, and providing solutions to corporate clients.Good understanding of the tax, legal, and regulatory environment and compliance in relation to corporate equity transactions.Proficiency in trading platforms like Murex, Front Arena, Bloomberg, etc.
