Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Equipment and Tool Stress Analysis Engineer to apply stress analysis techniques for the advancement of functional excellence within the BCA Equipment and Tool Engineering Core team. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. As a member of the team, you will drive accountability and integration across the Equipment & Tooling value stream and deliver value added solutions to the production system, understand our core business requirements, and relentlessly eliminate waste. You will provide support to BCA programs to ensure tools and equipment are safe and compliant, and define and document processes and best practices in adherence to industry regulations and Boeing policies.  In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level and Senior Level Equipment and Tool Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform analyses (e.g., stress, static and dynamic loading, thermal factors, vibration, etc) of tool and equipment designs.Write design specifications and process documentation for our production equipmentDevelop stress templates and guidebooks for use by general tooling community.Consult with leads, supervisors, and other stakeholders on process or job-related issues as required.Travel between Boeing sites, as-needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementKnowledge of structural analysis techniques for static strength or fatigue capabilityExperience using 3D modeling software for drafting and structural analysis (FEA)Basic computer experience and competence (Microsoft Office, internet browsing, E-mail communications, etc.)Ability to work overtime based on business requirementsLevel 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred qualifications:

Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience1 or more years of experience reading engineering drawingsGeneral knowledge of welding, building codes, below-the-hook lifting devices, mechanical systems (including pneumatic and hydraulic), or composites/advanced materials.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Associate Level (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950

Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $118,150 - $159,850
