To assist with all receiving, processing, shipping, returns and inventory operations in the Distribution Centre: unloading/loading by Powered MHE and/or by hand, lifting, scanning, sorting, picking, packing, labelling and checking stock as required. To ensure the Distribution Centre operates with optimum precision and efficiency. Working within all areas of the warehouse depending on the business requirement: Receiving, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control and Returns.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team lead
Help to efficiently carry out all Distribution Centre tasks with the use of Powered MHE
Follow all policies and procedures related to powered equipment, including inspections, safety checks, routine maintenance and training
Scan and track incoming and outgoing orders
Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
Inspect receivables for defects, damages or missing items
Properly scan and inventory incoming goods
Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
Pick , prepare, package and label goods for shipment
Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
Load and unload product to and from trailers and containers by using Powered MHEs and/or manually
Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability and certification to operate Powered Material Handling Equipment
1+ years of experience is required on operating Powered MHEs i.e. Reach Truck(Required), Order Picker, Turret Truck, Clamp Truck, walkie rider and Forklift
Working knowledge of RF scanners and common warehouse tools and equipment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to follow precise verbal and written instructions
Good organizational skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and receive instruction and directions in English
Must be eligible to work in Canada
