**Job Title: Equipment Mechanic** **** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team in a shop-based role. The mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and excavators. This position focuses on actual equipment repairs and solution provision rather than mere component changes and diagnosis. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of aerial equipment, including boom lifts and bucket lifts. + Work on mid-heavy dirt equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, and trenchers. + Perform all repairs in a shop environment with no fieldwork involved. + Provide solutions for equipment repair and ensure functionality. + Maintain a high standard of work ethic and continually learn about mechanic work. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical skills and ability to repair equipment. + Experience in brake, diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems. + Capability to work in a labor-intensive role. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + For Tech I: Some automotive or engine experience, such as changing oil, brakes, and tires, is required. Trade school experience is a major plus. + For Tech II: 4+ years of mechanic experience, with diesel engine experience preferred. + Ownership of a comprehensive set of tools is mandatory. + Good tenure and ability to work in various weather conditions. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers significant growth and learning potential. The shop can become hot during summer months, so candidates should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility. The position requires availability Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm, including some Saturday rotations from 8 am to 12 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
