ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop deep understanding of plant capital equipment in process, product and operation.Through data driven analytics, identify opportunities for improvement in equipment efficiency. Drive overall uptime, energy consumption, product yield, product quality, safety and operational consistencyManage cradle to grave equipment improvement projects with partnership from Metallurgy, Quality, Maintenance and Operations.Drive root cause investigations, failure mode monitoring/analysis.Manage budget, schedule, subcontractors and internal personnel on projectsProduce accurate and timely engineering calculationsEngineering specifications and drawings, review of engineering documents and factory acceptance
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience (preferably Mechanical)5-7 years of experience in equipment engineering/maintenanceMechanical aptitudeStrong data analysis and willingness to be a hands on engineerProficiency in AutoCAD and 3-D Drawing SoftwareGood communications and organization skills25% travel required
