Summary: Seeking an Equipment and Systems Design Engineer to lead technical design and development for magnet wire equipment and manufacturing system projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master of Science preferred Five to eight years of machine and component design and development experience Knowledge of machine design, building techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment Understanding of maintenance needs in manufacturing environments, including predictive and preventative maintenance Familiarity with project planning and management in automotive product development

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of magnet wire manufacturing and equipment Appreciation for continuous improvement in design practices

Responsibilities:

Lead technical activities on assigned equipment and manufacturing systems projects Design models and prototypes focusing on stability, repeatability, quality, reliability, sustainability Conduct research on new equipment for product development initiatives Create design briefs, specifications, requirements for prototype production Produce drawings, parts lists, performance calculations for prototype/manufacturing systems Manage cost estimations and budget requirements for all phases of design/manufacturing

Pay Details: $85.00 to $95.00 per hour
