Virginia Equine Imaging (VEI) is pleased to offer a Sports Medicine and Imaging Fellowship designed for motivated veterinarians seeking advanced, hands-on training in equine lameness, performance evaluation, and diagnostic imaging.
This intensive fellowship provides comprehensive exposure to equine sports medicine diagnostics, treatment strategies, and advanced imaging modalities, preparing fellows for excellence in clinical practice or academic careers.
Fellowship Training Includes:
Advanced equine sports medicine clinical exams, diagnostics and treatments Extensive hands-on experience with advanced imaging, including: Nuclear scintigraphy Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Computed Tomography (CT) Case-based learning focused on performance horses across disciplinesUnique Educational Opportunity:
Fellows will receive one-on-one wet lab training with Dr. Kent Allen, Founder of Virginia Equine Imaging and Co-Founder of the International Society of Equine Locomotive Practitioners (ISELP).
This exclusive training will cover each of the ISELP modules, offering an unparalleled opportunity to develop advanced diagnostic and procedural skills under direct mentorship.
