EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING OFFICER, COMMAND STAFF of MCLB ALBANY GA. Responsibilities You will assist the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Manager in reviewing, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing EEO policies originated by high authority. You will ensure that Affirmative Employment Program Plans (AEP) and Special Emphasis Program (SEP) reports are completed by established deadlines. You will function as an EEO counselor on a regular and recurring basis. You will provide EEO counselor duties in accordance with regulations to include counseling techniques, fact-finding, timely processing of counseling/pre-complaint, compiling of counselor reports and required documentation. You will assist in the overall administration of EEO complaints, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) process, investigation and adjudication processes. You will analyze informal and formal complaint records to identify problem areas where training would assist in the development of activity employees striving to reach their fullest potential. You will compile and analyze workforce employment data and identifies problem areas, low participation, and develops corrective action items to overcome low participation rates of women, minorities and the disabled. You will develop AEP plans and action items in all areas in the AEP report. You will recommend improvements or corrective action needed to remedy the failure of mangerial/supervisory personnel to fully support program efforts. You will arrange for and participate in presentation of programs, workshops, seminars and trainings on EEO for civilians and military (supervising civilians) personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the administration of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints and the investigation and adjudication processes; functioning as an EEO counselor; reviewing and implementing EEO policies. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: Assisting in the administration of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints and the investigation and adjudication processes; and implementing EEO policies.
