The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full time Epic Trainer 3 to work on-site. The Epic Trainer 3 trains and supports the institution’s clinical systems required for patient care and maintains a solid understanding of the overall integration of business applications to provide training and support to staff members. The Epic Trainer 3 - Central (H) leads in the communication of new policies and procedures and serves as the primary support contact in all matters related to training. The Epic Trainer 3 - Central assists junior team members’ work efforts in the communication of training policies, coordination of required training, and management of all aspects of classroom and virtual training. The incumbent maintains the scope, schedule, and quality of training as well as maintains current knowledge of UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations. Core Responsibilities: + Administers training activities to reinforce appropriate system usage in the delivery of robust patient-centered care. + Review s project plan, monitor s tasks and milestones , and report s changes/status to senior leadership. + Provide s instruction to junior team members and r eview s training through the entire training life cycle while meeting deadlines and initiatives. + Lead s the communication of new policies and procedures related to training. + Serve s as the primary resource for junior application team members on all aspects of training. + Oversee s all phases of training, the analysis of new training implementation, and validation of the impacts on the workflow. + Review s the identification and troubleshooting of training issues that arise and delegates the work to resolve them. + Oversee s the evaluation and resolution of training issues, identification and implementation of requested training changes, retrieval of requested data, and day-to-day training operations. + Collaborate s with analysts on application changes and new features to develop training strategies. + Review s the interaction with stakeholders, the business community, and end - users to ensure training meets UHealth's business/clinical needs. + Maintain s regular communication with team members and leads weekly project team meetings. + Review s the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership. + Analyze s , design s , build s , test s, and troubleshoot application and technical issues related to training environments (MST). + participates in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality. + A dheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Department Specific Functions: Trainer will be part of the Clinical Informatics Optimization Team where we focus on all user who interact with the system to deliver care for the patient. The team work in an agile workflow delivery enhancements within 1-2 week of the request. It involves shadowing various end users, retraining, supporting new enhancements, creating communications for enhancement including emails, tip sheets, and/or videos. Also entails creating team shadowing schedule. Versatility is various applications and broad end user role is required. CORE QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s d egree in relevant field + Epic Certification in relevant specialty or field + Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. + Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. + Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. + Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. + Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others. + Proficiency in computer software ( i.e. Microsoft Office). + Commitment to the University’s core values.
