Under general direction formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Has a clear understanding of scheduling registration and billing/collection workflows for both Hospital Billing and Professional Billing.
Prepares detailed specifications for revenue cycle applications from which programs will be written.Designs codes tests debugs and documents those programs.Programming knowledge and experience in revenue cycle workflow enables the efficient and timely writing of custom programs or modification of existing programs.Responsibilities duties and tasks are completed according to established standards with minimal supervision within the assigned timeframe.Revenue cycle information systems developed or modified are thoroughly tested to prevent production implementation problems.Oral and written skills accurately convey ideas facts technical information opinions or perceptions and in a manner easily understood by staff and end-users.Knowledge of Health Information & Technology system development methodology to ensure that new/modified documentation meets standards.Competent to work on most phases of revenue cycle applications systems analysis and programming activities but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.Policies and procedures within the functional area of responsibility are understood and applied accurately with supervision when identifying possible changes and assessing their impact on current automated processes.Under general supervision sound solutions are reached through detailed analysis and accurate determination of causes of complex problems.With supervision cost effective and process-efficient alternatives and appropriate solutions for application development enhancement or modification are recommended on a consistent basis.Under general supervision formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.Systems analysis experience provides the ability to accurately gather required data.Data gathered is consistently complete and correctly defines system scope and objectives.Sound solutions are reached to resolve moderate to complex applications/systems problems.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $30.13 - $48.21 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience: 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Licensure: Current Epic Certification in appropriate Revenue Cycle Application.

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write succinctly and coherently.
