Epic Cadence Analyst
Job Summary Novant Health is seeking an Epic Cadence Analyst to support and enhance patient access by improving scheduling workflows and provider templates across the Novant Health Medical Group. This is more than a traditional analyst role, it’s a high-visibility opportunity to drive system-level innovation across Novant Health. The Epic Cadence Analyst will be at the forefront of optimizing patient access through self-scheduling enhancements, provider onboarding programs, and decision logic development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and patient-centered care. Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (On call support required, as needed). Location: Remote Department: NMG DPS Billing Support Key Responsibilities Collaborate with end users and leadership to identify and eliminate barriers to patient access. Optimize scheduling and provider templates within Epic to align with best practices and NHMG standards. Serve as a subject matter expert on Epic scheduling and template functionality. Manage and improve processes that support scheduling efficiency and provider availability. Advocate for standardization and continuous improvement across scheduling operations. Technical & Security Responsibilities Securely manage information systems throughout their lifecycle. Understand and document sensitive data stored, transmitted, or processed within assigned systems. Enforce security principles such as least privilege and least functionality. Identify and respond appropriately to potential information security incidents. Support the analysis, configuration, and implementation of low-complexity systems and workflows. Create and maintain documentation, technical specifications, and testing plans. Assist in recommending and implementing system improvements. Participate in on-call responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities as a change advocate. What You Bring Experience with Epic scheduling and template management (preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to keeping the patient at the center of all decisions and actions. Qualifications Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree In Health, Business Administration or other related field, required. Experience: Two years Healthcare industry, required. Scheduling and/or templating experience, preferred. Two years Healthcare industry, required. Scheduling and/or templating experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Epic certification. Cadence certification preferred. Must obtain certification within three months of hire date (maximum of three tries per project/exam). Additional Skills (required): Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management abilities. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision making. Skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback. Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
