EPC Project Manager

Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Project Manager in the Southcentral US who will work alongside lead engineers and program managers supporting a growing clientele of construction partners. We are currently seeking a qualified applicant to provide turnkey project management services related to electric utility engineering projects throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in the specified location. The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to construction partners rebuilding and expanding transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure nationwide. 

This position has remote working capabilities, but will require local & regional travel to client offices and project sites. This allows us to best serve our localized utility clients as needed. Therefore, candidates should be located in or adjacent toTexas or New Mexico in order to be considered. Monetary relocation assistance is not available for this position.

As an EPC Project Manager, you can expect to:

Independently lead project teams to complete engineering design of various sized electrical infrastructure projects for construction clients located throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in your areaAccept responsibility for overall project performance, reporting, and fostering strategic relationshipsManage project costs, schedule and scope, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limitsInterface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risksEnsure contract compliance throughout project lifecycleDrive results by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverablesEnsure and document adherence to the quality control processCommunicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnelPrepare bid documents, develop cost estimates and respond to requests for proposalComplete client invoicing and accruals within prescribed time framesIdentify opportunities to improve existing partnerships and grow new relationships in your local areaSome periodic travel will be required in order to best serve our utility customers, so the selected candidate should be available for travel on an as-needed basis

What you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a related discipline is requiredA minimum of four (4) + years of relevant Project Management experienceFamiliarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery servicesMust have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performanceDemonstrated success in change managementStrong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectivelyAptitude for problem solving and critical thinkingExperience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, Pro Core, MS Project, P6)Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Periodic travel is required, so candidates should be available for travel as needed

Experience leading EPC contractsExperience supporting construction operationsWorking knowledge of the consulting businessPMP Certification; ideal candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within two years

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
