EPC Oversight Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager (EPC Oversight) Location: Bellevue, WA Type: Contract Compensation: $84 - $100 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite System One is seeking a skilled Project Manager for a 12-month contract position based in Bellevue, WA. This role will be responsible for managing activities related to a high-profile energy infrastructure project, overseeing planning, execution, and project closure phases. The Project Manager will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization. This position requires 10–20% travel. Responsibilities + Manage project cost, schedule, and scope execution using project management best practices and principles; ensure adherence to plans and proactively address deviations. + Drive and hold project teams accountable for achieving deliverables, maintaining budgets, and meeting scope and performance requirements. + Ensure technical adequacy and quality of work products to confirm scope completion. + Lead planning efforts for work scope within control accounts; collaborate with engineering leads and integrate plans into the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS). + Develop and maintain staffing/resource plans; adjust schedules to ensure resource leveling. + Monitor and analyze cost and schedule variances using earned value (EV) metrics; determine root causes and implement corrective actions or recovery plans. + Work closely with the Contract Administrator to ensure all work complies with contractual requirements. + Maintain project records in accordance with corporate procedures. + Manage the project risk register and implement actions to mitigate risks. + Coordinate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure compliance with PMO requirements and standards. Qualifications + Minimum 30 years of experience in Project Management or Project Delivery with demonstrated success on large-scale projects. + Proven leadership on multi-billion-dollar EPC and power generation projects across the full EPC lifecycle. + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). + Experience working within multidisciplinary and matrixed team structures. + Familiarity with regulatory environments; experience in nuclear power plant construction is preferred. + PMP certification is preferred. + Strong proficiency in project planning, implementation, and execution. + Working knowledge of project scheduling, budget control, and EVMS tools. + Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Project). + Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) and Primavera P6 is a plus. + Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + High technical acumen and ability to understand complex technical topics. + Excellent communication skills (both written and oral). + Demonstrated integrity, open communication, and commitment to fostering teamwork. + Willingness and ability to travel 10–20% as required.
