EP Lab Nurse

Responsibilities

This position requires at least 1 year experience as an RN in an electrophysiology or cardiac catherization lab and training in discontinue arterial and venous lines.  1 year experience in critical care, cardiac rhythms, basic 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac hemodynamics and an IABP Certification is preferred.  Candidates must have a current California RN License, ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association.  

The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally.

The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy General Hospital and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
