EP Device Nurse - PPG Cardiology - Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY
Working in a busy device clinic interrogating pacemakers, ICD and loop monitors. Working closely with the Electrophysiology physicians and APPs.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform pacemaker, ICD and loop recorder interrogation and evaluate to ensure normal device function and safe programmed setting.
Communicate any abnormal findings on the device check to the EP physician or EP APP. Make appropriate device programming changes if confirmed problem such as atrial or ventricular arrhythmias, capture/sensing issues and rate response settings if needed.
Enter device data from the device check, remote device check or implant data into Pace Art.
Review remote home monitor sites for alerts or scheduled transmissions.
Evaluate the remote downloads for normal and abnormal findings.
Follow up with patients who have abnormal results and notify the appropriate clinician with abnormal findings per protocol.
Educate patients and family regarding their device or remote home monitor.
Provide phone triage service for device patients that call with device related issues.
Communicate with device reps for upcoming procedures, surgeries or the need for assistance.
Education: Graduation from accredited nursing program.
Skills: Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, dependable and motivated. Must have the ability to work autonomously.
Years of Experience: 1 year or more
License: Current Ohio RN Nursing License
Certification: ACLS, BLS
