The MDS Planning Lead acts as the bridge between regional business needs and global MDS Products & Platform strategy. The role is accountable for delivering scalable, flexible, and collaborative MDS solutions that enable business transformation across markets. The MDS Planning Lead ensures successful adoption of core planning product solutions and platforms (like SAP S/4HANA and O9, aligning with global product architecture while addressing regional business needs.
**How you will contribute** :
**Strategic Leadership**
+ Provide thought leadership to shape regional solution strategies aligned with global digital architecture.
+ Drive fit-gap assessments and influence global Core Model evolution through regional insights.
**Program Delivery & Governance**
+ Own regional MDS plans, execution, and delivery metrics.
+ Lead end-to-end testing, cutover, andhypercarein coordination with business and vendor partners.
+ Manage risk analysis and escalation protocols
**Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Act as a trusted MDS advisor to regional business leads.
+ Support the BRD creation and validation process to ensure clarity and completeness.
+ Deliver executive-level reporting on KPIs, risks, andadoptionmetrics.
**Change & Resource Management**
+ Co-develop change management strategies to ensure user adoption and process readiness.
+ Lead upskilling and retention of critical MDS resources in-region.
+ Support contingency planning and operational continuity.
**Value Delivery**
+ Ensure that MDS investments yield measurable business value in cost, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
+ Support agile delivery models (e.g., sprintsignoffs, tech gates).
**Key Stakeholder Interactions**
+ **Internal:** Regional Business Leadership, Global MDS Products & Architects Managers, PMO, BU MDS Teams
+ **External:** Vendors, Implementation Partners, System Integrators

To operate effectively in a product organization composed of global, regional, and local teams, this role must embody the following principles:
+ **Clear Lines of Responsibility** Define accountability across global, regional, and market levels. Prevent overlaps in responsibilities to avoid confusion and conflict. The MDS Planning Lead must own regional MDS delivery while aligning with global solution frameworks.
+ **Collaboration & Communication** Champion seamless communication between business, MDS, and vendor teams. Set up effective communication channels to support joint decision-making and transparency.
+ **Autonomy & Empowerment** Empower local and regional teams to maketimely, market-relevant decisions. Ensure these decisions are aligned with global standards and strategies.
+ **Scalability & Flexibility** Design MDS solutions and operational models that scale with business growth and can adapt to changing market needs or disruptions.
+ **Shared Ownership** Foster joint accountability for technology success across global and regional stakeholders. Create a culture of collaboration and shared goals.
