EOI: Building Inspector Job ID 247041 Posted 07-Nov-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Surveying/Consultancy, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) Kuala Lumpur - Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia **Position Overview:** The Building Inspector ensures that buildings and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics through scheduled inspections and reporting. **Core Responsibilities:** **Inspection and Compliance** ● Conduct regular inspections of building fabric, structure, M&E systems, and fire safety equipment. ● Identify defects, hazards, and compliance breaches, and recommend corrective actions. **Reporting** ● Prepare detailed inspection reports highlighting findings and corrective measures needed. ● Escalate urgent safety risks immediately to the Hard Services Manager. **Audit and Support** ● Assist in third-party audits and internal compliance reviews. ● Verify remedial works post-rectification and update compliance records. **Key Skills and Qualifications:** ● Diploma in Building Surveying, Engineering, or a related field. ● Minimum 5 years’ experience in building inspections. ● Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, safety standards, and best practices. ● Good report writing and communication skills.
